MORGANTON, N.C. (WBTV) - An infant was hit and killed at a Burke County campground Thursday morning.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol was called out around 10:40 a.m. to the Steel Creek Park & Family Campground’s parking lot.
According to troopers, a truck was trying to pull around one of the buildings and hit an 18-month-old who walked in front of the truck. She died from her injuries at the scene.
Troopers said that no charges will be filed in this case.
